We're Voxsomnium and this is our first complete project!

We took part in a couple game jams last year and realized that to found our own indie studio and be able to make a living out of our passion - music, art, and games! - would a dream come true.

This game is a proof of concept for us. We wanted to challenge ourselves to create a simple game between two people, handling all of the code development, art creation, and music production ourselves.

Everything that you see and interact with is made by ourselves and, frankly, we're overjoyed that we managed to take a project from nothing to something in a short time, finally overcoming the "it's almost finished but not quite" hurdle that we crashed into in two different jams.

We're going to be working on more simple projects like this to build up skills and confidence before we start working on a project to actually sell... And we'll be putting them up here on Itch for y'all to hopefully enjoy and have some fun with.

Always appreciate feedback (good and bad of course, as long as it's constructive!) and we hope you have fun with Netsurfers. Or, at the very least, get brainwormed by the catchy jingle. ;3

GAMEPLAY LOOP:

Surf down the cyberspace board, collecting the floppy disk / HDD pickups (that increase your score), and avoiding the red obstacle walls. If you go too slow, watch out! ~ there's a firewall that'll come getcha.

CONTROLS:

Movement - Player sprite follows the mouse.

Phase through objects - SHIFT (spends energy, replenished via pickups.)

Speed Up / Slow Down - S/W

Close Game - ESCAPE

Full Screen Toggle (Browser) - F10
